BY THE GROOM
The question for the perfect engagement ring began early 2008. On
so many occasions, I had visited jewelry stores but making a
choice was a bit of task as I had realized from conversation she
preferred platinum ring to white or yellow gold.
AT last, I finally decided on what to buy but the hardest task
was how to go about my proposal strategy. I had initially ruled
out some conventional ways of proposing as I realized that once
I start threading those paths, my intention would be unveiled
with ease.
After considering different ways and analyzing the possible
obstacles, I decided to propose on her birthday as she will be
expecting a gift possible but I promised myself to keep it
simple.
I was incredibly nervous, but maintained a cool demeanor
externally. When I finally saw her in the morning of her
birthday, I gave her a big hug with the birthday card and ring
box hanging in my hand and the big question came out?????
She was shocked with the approach but all I could pick from her
response was the answer.
The proposal signified a very special day in our lives, it was a
day filled with joy and hopes of more beautiful things to come
coupled with the fact that it was her birthday.
